Pokemon Supernova Sun is a rom hack of Pokemon Ultra Sun by Dio_Vento. It has improved Pokemon interactivity. You can now choose any Pokemon you see on the map in a Pokemon Centre, and it will go to Pokemon School or Pokemon Gym they are nearest too. They’ll also do activities such as training at Pokegyms or learn skills during Pokemon Schools.
If this Pokemon is not your highest level Pokemon, you can take on challenges with them by talking to them after they’ve completed their action. This will increase their Pokemon Level but also allow other Pokemon to gain access new abilities and attacks that would normally be unavailable at their current skill levels

With the use of Pokemon Crystals, you can unlock Pokemon moves that are currently unavailable to your Pokemon. Battle Moves:
Pokemon Supernova Sun adds 6 new battle moves for Pokemon who are able to learn it and more importantly, two of them require a Pokemon Crystal each. Two attacks called “Consume” and “Aegis-Shield” which require 2x Pokemon Crystals to be used….but we won’t spoil the surprise on how and where you get these…

Pokemon Supernova Sun has also added 250 new Pokemon to its PokeDex including Pokemon from Pokemon Go, Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon! You’re guaranteed to find something you like. And with the Change of Weather System, you’ll see different Pokemon depending on which season it is in Pokemon World or if it’s raining or sunny.
Evolutions of Pokemon:
The following Pokemon can now evolve into different forms using a special item:
- Piloswine- requires one Shiny Stone running off your new shiny graphics engine
- Sentret- requires one Miracle Seed whilst planted in Miracle Garden (new area)
- Geodude – requires one Hard Stone running off your new Hard Mode system…which means there will be even more impossibly hard monsters wandering around Pokemon Supernova Sun
Grouping Feature:
Pokemon Supernova Sun has a system where Pokemon in your Pokemon Group will help you out by battling Pokemon for you when they are the highest Pokemon Level. They’ll be able to fight against three Pokemon at once instead of two! This makes it easier for players who may struggle against very tough Pokemon wandering around Pokemon World. If you save these Pokemon from attacks with this new feature, then they’ll get ever stronger and learn more attacks making them the perfect partner during future battles. Trade directly with friends on 3DS or between versions using Pokemon Bank…which is now free to download via Nintendo Network Holomark (this is because it no longer requires DS games)!! Pokemon Banks allow up to 100 Pokemon across any version which means you’ll be able to add Pokemon from Pokemon Supernova Sun into Pokemon Sun or Pokemon Moon! It also means you can trade Pokemon with your friends over the internet instead of locally (so it’s ideal for those who don’t live nearby)
Amazing new Level Game:
Pokemon discovered in Pokemon Supernova Sun are found at higher levels when caught and evolved. This gives players more freedom to determine how their Pokemon will grow and evolve rather than having to stick to one direct path. Also, try Pokemon Clockwork Free (Latest 1.9.0)
Some Pokemon have additional features added: More types, new abilities and stats changes including some previously unavailable in previous versions such as Surf (for certain Pokemon), Mega Evolution, previous generation moves etc. Players will enjoy a much deeper experience when trying out different movesets on their Pokemon…and experimenting with combinations of Pokemon with different Pokemon Moves and Pokemon Crystals can lead to some powerful combinations. Pokemon World is a living Pokemon MMO, after all!
New Movesets
Additionally, certain Pokemon have even more new features including new movesets! In fact, just for fun, we’ve changed the evolution level of one Pokemon previously unavailable in Pokemon Sun and Moon because it’s too weak to evolve. However, now you’ll be able to use Pokemon Crystals on it!! We’re not going to say which ones though….you’ll just have to find them out for yourself 🙂
Some Pokemon are “Shiny” versions…but these are much harder to find than normal Pokemon…so keep your eyes peeled when entering grass or caves in areas like Alola! Pokemon Shines are Pokemon whose physical appearance changes colour. Pokemon Shines have different Pokemon Stats but Pokemon Movesets remain the same. Pokemon shines have one “Shiny Form”: Shiny Pokemon can look like a specific species of Pokemon or can look completely different and unique from normal Pokemon
The Pokemon World:
The Pokemon World is much bigger in Pokemon Supernova Sun! Like, really big! It’s so expansive you may find yourself lost on your journey at times…but that just makes exploring more fun
Players who trade Pokemon with friends will be able to take advantage of trading items too as they’ll leave presents behind for other players to collect by chance. To reduce waiting time for another player to accept your invite, we’ve added an online/offline feature so you can see whether your Pokemon World friend is currently in Pokemon Supernova Sun or Pokemon Moon.
Improved Move Database:
Pokemon Supernova Sun has an improved Pokemon Move database with many more moves, including those from previous generations. This means Pokemon Movesets are much deeper and there are lots more combinations of Pokemon Moves to try out when creating a customisable team of Pokemon.
Pokemon Eggs have been updated for Pokemon Supernova Sun too! There will be new Pokemon Eggs to find, like the rare Shiny Pokemon eggs (which hatch into fully grown Shiny Pokemon) replacing the existing ones in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon…so if you were missing any shiny egg moves please look again 🙂
Underwater HM : Dive / Surf by default (some monsters have it by breeding)
Pokemon Supernova Sun runs on Pokemon World App which is built using cross platform technology so Pokemon Supernova Sun players can play against Pokemon Moon/Ultra Pokemon players!!! So far we’ve been able to add Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon as additional entry points for Pokemon Bank – but with the release of Pokemon Supernova Sun, our team can start looking into adding Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness (which uses a compatible DS emulator), Game Boy Advanced games or even Game Boy Color games!

Wonder Trade:
We believe this feature isn’t needed in combination with Pokemon World given you’re trading for new shiny Pokemon. However, we do understand that people want Pokemon for Pokemon Worlds so we’ll include it from Pokemon Supernova Sun onwards. Pokemon Wonder Trade will give you Pokemon with random movesets and stats as a starting point to your Pokemon World team.
We’ve tried extensively to make this work but it was too difficult trying using the 3DS wireless technology – so we’ve put these projects on hold until Nintendo release next-generation hardware that allows us to use Cross-Platform / Cloud Saves. However, please note Pokemon from previous generations will not be compatible with any future Pokemon game once they are no longer able to connect.
Some New Features in Pokemon Supernova Sun:
- Pokemon Supernova Sun has variety of new features which are added to make the Pokemon experience even more exciting.
- New Pokemon Types: In Pokemon Supernova Sun, we see the introduction of whopping 5 new Pokemon types! Some Pokemon have dual typing as well.
- Single Battle System: The Battle system in Pokemon Supernova Sun is simpler than ever before and you can face off with a single Pokemon at any given time , instead of facing multiple Pokemon in once.
- Also, If one Pokemon faints during the battle, You lose that battle automatically without going through full fledged Pokecenter visit for reviving your Pokemon like previous games did. So be choosy about who you want to bring on battlefield!
- Fighting Type Gym Leader: Steven Stone is the Pokemon Supernova Sun’s Gym Leader.
- Dedicated Pokemon Editor: Pokemon Supernova Sun comes with Pokemon Editor which lets you edit and customize your Pokemon to a very high level . It even allows Battle Bond Pokemon to be edited as well!
- Battle Bond: A brand new mechanic named “Battle Bond” has been added.
